What rocket simulation software is available?

There are a number of rocket simulation software packages available for download on the internet. The following list is of some of these:

Winroc - http://www.drmoore.org/winroc.htm
- Consisting of the well known Alticalc simulation software, as well as the CPCalc software, Alticalc offers generally the fastest results in terms of displaying a rocket simulation graphically. Alticalc runs on Microsoft Windows 95 and all later versions. Winroc is now Freeware and Open Source.

Rocksim - http://www.apogeerockets.com
- Rocksim is an extremely detailed piece of software, enabling a rocket to be designed and modelled from a library of components, before simulating the rocket's trajectory graphically. All within the Rocksim software. Rocksim also offers a real-time, graphical, dynamic stability option, enabling checking of the stability of various rocket designs. Rocksim v8.0 works with Windows NT, 2000 and XP, and also OS X (v10.3 or later) on the Mac.

RASP
- RASP (Rocket Altitude Simulation Program) was probably the first widely used rocketry simulation software to be developed for model or high power or amateur rocketry. Written by the late, great, G. Harry Stine (author of the Handbook of Model Rocketry), the fact that it is freely available as souce code, and the listing is even in the Handbook of Model Rocketry, means that it offers a good starting point for those wishing to develop their own simulation software.

WinRASP - http://www.wrasp.com
- WinRASP was an update to the RASP software, providing a Microsoft Windows based front-end to the RASP software, and cleaning up the code, and converting it to the C programming language. WinRASP runs on all versions of Microsoft Windows.

Compuroc - http://www.physics.hmc.edu/GL/compuroc/croc_article.html
- CompuRoc is a model and high power rocket trajectory simulation application, written specifically for the Apple Macintosh.

FLIGHT - http://www.nerorockets.org/nero/neh-res-flight.htm
- FLIGHT is a trajectory simulation application written by Mark Veltana of Dutch amateur rocketry group, NERO. FLIGHT runs on Microsoft DOS based PCs.
