Where are Launch Sites in the UK?

The following list of launch sites used by UKRA affiliated rocketry groups or members:

  • Launch Site: EARS
  • Location: near Elsworth, Cambridgeshire
  • Motor Power Limit: M-class power limit (Contact EARS in advance if you wish to fly M class)
  • Altitude Ceiling: 8000 feet standard ceiling (Higher ceilings available on occasion where an additional NOTAM has been granted).

  • Details: EARS is one of the best regular launch sites in the UK. They hold launches each month from March - September. The also hold a large launch in May called Big EARS and a Fireworks spectacular in November.

  • Location: near Tenbury Wells, West Midlands
  • Motor Power Limit: I class Site
  • Altitude Ceiling: 6000 - 12,000 feet depending on recovery methods.
