What are the benefits of UKRA membership ?

UKRA was formed after a meeting held
at the International Rocket Weekend in Largs, Scotland during August 1996. The main
activities of our organisation are:-

• To promote Amateur Rocketry in the UK.
• Be a link between groups and individuals interested in rocketry.
• Create a recognised safety standard and Certification/Achievement program.
• Provide our members with third Party Flying Insurance.

UKRA offers many benefits to it’s members including :-

• Third party Flying insurance through the BMFA (for motors A to M)

• A flying certification and achievement program for both Juniors and Seniors
• On joining, receive a a UKRA Membership Handbook.
• UKRA Certification Levels achieved as a Full UKRA Members are recognised Internationally, enabling UKRA Members to fly rockets internationally to their UKRA Certification Level (subject to local laws regarding rocket motor use). This includes countries such as the U.S.A, Canada as well as countries within Europe.
• Information on UKRA and Affiliated club events throughout the UK
• Numerous club flying sites throughout the UK
• Contacts and Advice on all aspects of rocketry
• Our annual UKRA flying festivals
• Attend and contribute to UK Rocketry at your AGM

Joining UKRA is easy ! All you need to do is complete the membership form(s) and
enclose a cheque/Postal Order for the relevant subscription along with two Passport
Photographs.

When we receive your application we will issue you with your New Members Pack and
