UKRA S&T Chair talks about his work on the STERN motor
The excellent SPACE.CO.UK site has a very interesting interview with UKRA's own chair of S&T, Richard Osborne, discussing his involvement with Reaction Engines development work on their STERN motor. This uses a novel ED (Expansion Deflection) nozzel which compenstaes for atmospheric pressure changes with altitude.
Richard was attending the 59th International Astronomical Congress in Glasgow back at the end of September, start of October in his position as Consultant to Jim MacFarlane's Airborne Engineering who are working with the University of Bristol for Reaction Engines on developing technology for the Skylon Space Plane
