IRW 2009 Announcement
Dear Friends and Fellow Rocketeers.
This is an edit-up from the brief posting here yesterday as "IRW 2009 Flyer".
(There will be a V2.0 of this Flyer with the official IRW 2009 Logo designed by Pete Waddington, to be published soon).
For IRW 2009 information please see attached 'Flyer and South Whittlieburn Farm Details and Directions (all on one page - more convenient than the two SWF Cards, but which I will leave here anyway).
This posting follows up my previous one about IRW 2009 here on 02/09/2008.
Full details of the IRW 2009 event will be published on the IRW web pages soon. When this has been done I will post here again to let you know.
If you are planning to come to IRW 2009, and if you have not already booked B&B, Caravan (on-site, or bring-your-own) or Tent accommodation at South Whittlieburn Farm, which will be the IRW 2009 Base Camp, then now is the time to do so. Phone number and other contact details are on the SWF Details & Directions, and on the 'Flyer.
The rates for the various types of accommodation at South Whittlieburn Farm for IRW 2009 will be the same as they were for the 2008 event. All accommodation payments are made direct to the proprietors, Mary and Tom Watson.
For those IRW veterans who were not at the 2008 event, and for those of you who have not been to the event before, I should point our that South Whittlieburn Farm (SWF) provides far superior facilities in the form of toilets, showers, dish washing, etc., plus the warm welcome along with kind and thoughtful attention to the needs of the IRW event and participants extended by Mary and Tom Watson at SWF, to what we experienced (particularly in the later years) at the former long term IRW home and base camp at Kelburn Country Centre, to which the IRW has now bid a fond farewell. It is particularly worth mentioning that SWF is a family friendly place, which I know the IRW families who were at the 2008 event would affirm.
If you have any queries about the IRW 2009 information posted and attached here, or any suggestions for the event itself, please get in touch with me - my full contact details are on the attached 'Flyer.
In the meantime, thank you for your interest in the IRW 2009 event.
I hope that all your own rocket flying activities this year go well.
Yours sincerely,
John Bonsor,
IRW 2009 Organiser.
