Monday 4th May 2009 was Star Wars day, so members of FOG decided to celebrate this with a Star Wars themed launch.

Members were invited to enter Star wars themed rockets to compete for an Estes Interceptor kit. Rockets were judged for their craftsmanship, flight characteristcs and entertainment value. The clear winner was Dave Bishop for his Wookie rocket.

The club enjoyed its best ever attandance, with many spectators from as far away as Devon and Cheshire. A video of the proceedings can be seen on the club's You Tube channel:
