Team with BuzzThe UKAYRoC winning team from Buttershaw Enterprise College in Bradford attended the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) finals near Washington DC. The UK winners were warmly received by the 100 TARC teams and had an enjoyable day watching the competition. During the afternoon they successfully demonstrated their rocket to the other teams, VIPs and spectators.

The team were introduced to Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin who congratulated them on their success.

During their stay in Washington the team visited the major tourist sites including the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. They also enjoyed an afternoon's relaxation at a baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the Atlanta Braves. The visit ended with an afternoon at the Air & Space Museum where they admired its unique collection of rocket and space exhibits.
