This exhibition examines the impact space exploration has had on everyday life, especially futuristic design and the fantasy worlds created for children and adults alike.

The exhibition will be starting in London and then moving round the country, I will update the calander with the other dates when i have them.

UK Space Conference (UKSC) 2008 will take place on 26-29th March at Charterhouse School near Godalming, Surrey. It aims to bring together the members of the UK space community to take part in lectures, panel discussions, networking opportunities, a careers fair as well as many other events. The Royal Aeronautical Society Space, Historical & Aviation Medicine Joint Group Lecture, The Sputnik Lecture, is on the topic of "Fifty years in Space." It is being held at Royal Aeronautical Society, No.4 Hamilton Place, London W1.

It is being given, jointly, by; Dr Chris Welch, Kingston University and Dr Julia Tizard, Operations Manager, Virgin Galactic.

The International Polar Year (IPY) is a large scientific programme focused on the Arctic and the Antarctic from March 2007 to March 2009.

In order to have full and equal coverage of both the Arctic and the Antarctic, IPY 2007-2008 covers two full annual cycles from March 2007 to March 2009 and will involve over 200 projects, with thousands of scientists from over 60 nations examining a wide range of physical, biological and social research topics.
